Charlotte Olympia, the designer behind cat-faced slip-ons and ridiculously fun bags, has a new collaboration, and our inner six-year-old is jumping for joy. She’s teamed up with Barbie for a collection that’s as cute as you would expect.
Available now, the line consists of pink shoes (with transparent heels), a perspex clutch that has all of Barbie’s needs on display (perfume, lipstick, mirror), and cute, pink-tinged Kitty slip-ons featuring sunnies and a pout.
“Isn’t it every girl’s dream to have a Barbie that looks like her?” the designer told WWD. She also told the trade pub that she was the one who reached out to Mattel—she’s that much a Barbie girl.

The Charlotte Olympia and Barbie collab also includes a vintage doll she designed which wears leopard print and has makeup and hair that harkens back to the 1950s, a deliberate move on Olympia’s part. “I didn’t want to modernize her because I went to the era, the ’50s, that inspires my brand,” she said. “I definitely went backwards.”
This isn’t the first time Barbie and fashion have teamed up—from Oscar de la Renta to Karl Lagerfeld, there’s a Barbie for just about every runway fan.

Barbie comes with her own Charlotte Olympia accessories, of course, including the Kitty flats, platform sandals, the banana bag, and a transparent Pandora clutch. There’s also a tote bag, earrings, and Bruce the leopard, the brand’s mascot.
She kicked off the launch of the line via an eye-catching film by director Quentin Jones. (Seriously, watch it if you need a pick-me-up.)
The Charlotte Olympia and Barbie collection is available on CharlotteOlympia.com, ranging from $325 (Kitty flats) to $1,565 (the blush perspex clutch). If you’re hoping to get your hands on the doll—because matching outfits to Barbie is a must—they’re sold out on Olympia’s site (but you can snag one on Net-a-Porter’s UK site). Guess that’s what they mean by limited edition!
