Amber Rose has been toying with us, going from her shorn head to long wigs whenever she damn well feels like it.
The other night, she headed to a birthday party in full serious hair mode.
“She’s Hollywood af. Happy birthday @skamartist!!! I love you Indian ❤️ Hair by @philonhair,” she wrote on Instagram, while sporting a very long, very black wig.
It’s all courtesy of stylist Phillip Riian, who’s responsible for Rose’s total, and might we add totally cool transformation. She proves that the only point of having a signature look is to turn it on its head with zero commitment.
Change, says Sarah Potempa, celebrity stylist and founder of the Beachwaver tool, is always a good thing.
“After years of having long hair or growing it out you may feel a desire to have a fresh look; this can also inspire you for a fresh new wardrobe and makeup,” she tells Allure.

She’s a big fan of fake hair because it lets you play around, without taking the plunge, especially if you’re thinking of pulling a reverse Rose. “I would try a wig first if you are thinking of going short or if you have a friend that is really good at photoshop have them add this onto your face digitally. You could also try a faux bob for the day to see if you love the way your hair looks short,” she says.
In other Rose news, she’s been open about wanting breast reduction surgery, and her third annual SlutWalk is scheduled for Oct. 1 in L.A. Rose has been a voice in the fight against slut shaming and slapping other labels on women through her empowerment initiative.
