Since her breakout role as Bridget, the soccer-loving blonde bombshell in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Blake Lively has become known for her incredible hair. Sure, we’ve watched her bounce from blonde to brown and even red over the years, but she always managed to come back to her sunny roots, and almost always opts to wear it long and flowing for a very Rapunzel-esque vibe, if you will.
It’s for this exact reason that it’s so shocking whenever we see Lively with any other style, whether it be in a film, for a magazine, or on the red carpet. Because as we all know, hair has the ability to completely change someone’s appearance, and the actress’s latest look is just further proof of that.
For the 30-year-old’s latest role in the upcoming spy thriller The Rhythm Section, which she’s currently filming in Dublin, Ireland, Lively plays assassin Stephanie Patrick, who, let’s just say has a very different look going on than what we’re used to seeing from the starlet. I’m talking not a stitch of makeup (not that she needs any!) and baggy clothing, but the real kicker here has got to be the hair, which her character wears short and choppy — a far cry from the bright-blonde, waist-length strands she wears on the regular.
One could even say she looks almost unrecognizable in the wig, which again, just goes to show how much hair can make a difference. Needless to say, I can’t wait until the film is finally out to see Lively in all her spy-girl glory.
