Chelsea Manning has been lighting up our lives (and our feeds) since her release from Fort Leavenworth prison after President Obama commuted her 35-year sentence. Her Twitter feed is an absolute joy to behold, as she takes down trolls with emoji-filled tweets of wisdom and earnest goodness. She’s somehow managed to find happiness after all she’s been through, and she’s now sharing that joy in Vogue, where she looks like a total blonde pin-up girl.
Shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, Manning is seen frolicking on the beach wearing a red ruched, one-piece halter top swimsuit by Norma Kamali, which she pairs with a short, choppy blonde haircut. Manning posted the beachside photo on her own Instagram account, captioned, “I guess this is what freedom looks like” with a few choice emojis. Real talk: Freedom sure looks good on her, don’t you think?

It’s an interview you don’t want to miss, which is why we recommend checking it out —
