Just in case you thought the whole short-hair/bob/lob trend was going anywhere, here is further proof it’s definitely not. Emma Stone showed up at today’s Birdman premiere at the Venice Film Festival with a new short crop done by her stylist (and noted bob expert) Mara Roszak, who also recently gave Kate Mara a shorter cut for the Emmys. And it looks really, really good.
Not unlike the textured bobs we saw earlier this week at the Emmys, Stone’s new cut falls just about an inch below her chin, showing off her amazing complexion and making her look somehow more relaxed and more mature at the same time. The long, side-swept bangs keep it polished while the slightly rumpled texture is a cool-girl standby. And while chopping off a few inches meant getting rid of some of her subtle ombré highlights, if you look closely you can see that her color is still slightly faded toward the ends, which keeps it looking modern. I have a feeling this photo of Stone is going to inspire a lot of salon visits this fall.
