Viola Davis has given us so many good hair moments, both on the red carpet and off. At the 2012 Oscars, she showed up rocking her natural coils, cut super short and colored a gorgeous reddish-brown hue. And who could forget the time she took off her wig on-screen during an episode of How to Get Away With Murder, adding a new layer of realness and vulnerability to Annalise Keating?
Fast forward to the 2018 Golden Globes, where Davis is once again serving us a hair look we won’t soon forget. The actress hit the red carpet with her hair stretched to the heavens in a gloriously full ‘fro.
What good have we done in 2018 to deserve to be blessed in this way? Davis is absolutely radiant, and her halo of curls, kinks, and coils makes her look absolutely otherworldly. Easily one of the best hair looks of the night. What I love most about how this is styled is that the edges aren’t too sleek — just softly polished to perfection.
I can’t say the same about my edges, though, as they are nowhere to be found now that Davis has effectively snatched them all with this look.
