SoulCycle has officially taken over the world. OK, that may be a tad hyperbolic, but it has taken over Manhattan, Brooklyn, L.A., San Francisco, Boston, Washington, D.C., Miami, and most recently, Chicago. The indoor cycling studio, with its positive message and pack mentality, has attracted everyone from editors (like our own editor in chief Linda Wells), celebrities (Oprah, Olivia Wilde, America Ferrera), and top models (Hillary Rhoda, Grace Mahary). And the thing is, once you drink the SoulCycle juice, it’s hard to stop. Trust me, as someone who will now wake up an hour early just to make it to Taye or Becca’s class and who has bought way more Soul gear than one human will ever need, I know. And I’ve got really good news: Today, SoulCycle takes one more step toward world domination with the launch of their long-awaited app.
The app will allow you to reserve a class straight from you smartphone, which means you never have to worry about being in front of a computer come noon on Monday. You can see studio schedules, teacher bios, and music preferences—basically everything you can do on the website just now conveniently in your hand. But you get more: The app will sync your classes to your phone’s calendar, send you push notifications to remind you to sign up, bookmark your favorite classes, and show you step-by-step directions to the studio if you need them. It’s never been easier to get your Soul on. What won’t be easy is getting the song in this video—created to celebrate the launch of the app—out of your head the rest of the day.
