Being named a spokesperson of a major brand is a huge deal, and it can be a huge career-maker for some. It gives major visibility for the spokesmodel, and they often create amazing limited-edition collections. Now, L’Oréal Paris has just announced Aja Naomi King as its latest spokesmodel, and it’s honestly a match made in beauty heaven.
King, who plays the role of Michaela Pratt on ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder, is joining Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning, Camila Cabello, and others in representing the brand. According to an email sent to Allure by L’Oréal Paris, King’s love of beauty was inspired by her mom at a young age (aww!). She says, “Growing up, I watched my mom apply her makeup in the morning and wanted so badly to be part of that daily ritual with her. Seeing how much she enjoyed putting makeup on, including her go-to L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour, inspired me to love makeup as much as she did.”

King spoke more about her love of makeup, and how important it’s been to her throughout her life. “Makeup became my armor growing up. It provided me with a sense of protection and gave me the power and confidence to face the world in the way I wanted. To now represent L’Oréal Paris is incredibly overwhelming. I am so excited to help others find and believe in the beauty of who they are because everyone deserves to know their own worth.” Sure sounds like L’Oréal Paris picked the right woman to represent the brand!
She’ll be hitting the ground running as the brand’s newest spokesmodel with a sparkling new campaign — literally. Together, King and L’Oréal Paris will be launching L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glow, which is a collection of five brand-new products specifically designed to bring out the wearer’s inner glow. These new products include Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer, Glow Nude Palette, Shimmerista Powder, Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops, and Bronze It Bronzer. Aside from releasing the new collection, King will also be seen representing the brand at events and on social media.
