Have you recovered from the release of the Mario Dedivanovic palette yet? I’ll give you a moment to take a deep breath because the Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Glow Kit is here, and it’s about to be your cheeks’ new best friend. Just as the name suggests, a sweep of one (or two) of the shades in this palette will give your cheeks peak luminosity. Here’s everything you need to know about its metallic shades and how to use them.
The highlighter set comes in six brand-new shades.
Four Glow Kits may already exist, but the latest edition isn’t a mashup of faves from each. When you open up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Glow Kit, you’ll find Snow (a true pearly white), White Sand (a golden champagne), Golden Dawn (a warm gold), Sunray (a copper with peachy undertones), Amber Gold (a rosy gold), and Hot Sand (a true bronze).
The pans are huge.
ABH does not skimp when it comes to their highlighters. According to the package, each shade is 0.16 oz., meaning they will easily accommodate your biggest, fluffiest powder brush. With other highlighting palettes, I’ve had to break out a tinier, firmer blending brush I typically use for eye shadow because the pans are so unrealistically small. However, unlike the other Glow Kits, these pans are not removable.
The cover has a special Halloween-inspired touch.
Claudia Soare, daughter of the brand’s founder, Anastasia Soare, revealed on Instagram yesterday that the cover of the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit glows in the dark. I tested it out, and it does have that mellow, stars-on-the-bedroom-ceiling glimmer.

You’re bound to find your perfect shade.
Just like I did with the Becca Rose Quartz highlighter, I put swatches of each Ultimate Glow Kit shade on a variety of skin tones around the office. Each of my testers had trouble narrowing down their favorite hue. All picked three—and to be honest, they are a tough crowd. For light skin tones, the top row worked best. For medium skin tones, Golden Dawn, Sunray, and Amber Glow looked flawless. For darker skin tones, each shade from the bottom row looked beautiful.
But Sunray flatters everyone.
After all my testing, I noticed a consistent favorite. Sunray blended beautifully into every skin tone to give a natural-looking glow. ABH might need to make this one available as a single.
The highlighters double as shadows.
Snow, admittedly, freaked out some of my testers. (On my pale skin, however, it looked 100.) In the pan, it looks sheet-of-paper white. On darker skin tones, it looks a little ashy but goes on a lot more sheer than some expected. Lara Adekola, our digital associate producer, says she would definitely wear Snow (as well as the other shades) as an eye shadow. Because Hot Sand is a little too dark for me, I’m excited to try it out as a shadow, too. Plus, these highlighters are formulated to stay put, so you won’t even need a primer.
The New Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Glow Kit will launch next week.
You’ll be able order the highlighting palette on October 11 for $45 at ulta.com. Also, you can set up an email alert on sephora.com now, so you don’t miss out on this major release.
