Update (September 30, 2016): The Master Palette is sold out—but it’s launching online and in Sephora, ULTA and Macy’s starting 10/4, according to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Instagram.
Update (September 28, 2016): It’s finally time! The Mario Dedivanovic x Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette is out tomorrow, retailing for $45 at anastasiabeverlyhills.com.
Update (September 2, 2016): Just when we were ready to leave the office for Labor Day weekend, Kim Kardashian messed with our plans—or rather, has us making some new ones. Via her Snapchat (and then Mario Dedivanovic’s Instagram account), Kardashian revealed the Master Palette itself, packaging and all. Instead of just seeing sneaky swatches, here we have Dedivanovic and Kardashian showing off the first-ever palette, complete with all 12 shadow names (two of which were named specifically for Kardashian, “Kim” and “Muse,” naturally).
However, it’s not like you can just go run to your local Sephora and pick up the Master Palette just yet. Dedivanovic and Kardashian revealed that they’ll be spilling her classic contouring secrets at the Master Class in Dubai on October 14—where all attendees will be gifted one each.
Check out Kardashian introducing the shadows in the video below, where Dedivanovic is busy contouring the Kween. If only we could have him come over and do our makeup before our next outing…

July 26, 2016: If you don’t know who Mario Dedivanovic is, at the very least you’ve probably come across the makeup artist’s Instagram handle, @makeupbymario. In the past two years, he’s has gone from being barely known to being a big freakin’ deal thanks to his work with celebrity clients including Chrissy Teigen, Eva Longoria, and Kim Kardashian. Now not only does he boast 2.5 million followers on Instagram, but he also hosts his own master classes around the world in which he shares all of his red-carpet tricks and tips. (The classes are worth it. Trust me, I attended one.) With that level of popularity, it was only a matter of time before Dedivanovic came out with his own makeup product.
Unsurprisingly, his first product is an eye-shadow palette that he created with Anastasia Beverly Hills called the Master Palette by Mario. He previewed the product yesterday at an event in New York City, and while we don’t have a ton of details to reveal, there are Snapchats and Instagram posts that Dedivanovic and Claudia Soare, president of Anastasia Beverly Hills, shared yesterday. The first is an Instagram video of Dedivanovic showing swatches of the 12 shadows from the palette on his arm:

From the look of it, there are several bronze and brown colors in this palette (much like his client Kylie Jenner’s new palette). We also see streaks of dark green and dark blue at the end of his arm, and that makes us happy. In his master class, Dedivanovic shows how he uses green and blue shadows to add warmth and depth to a traditional brown-and-gold smoky eye. As for the shadows’ formula: “They glide on like silky butter,” Dedivanovic wrote in his Instagram video caption. “Took me a year to finish these colors and textures. This is one single swatch of each shade using my finger.” He also made sure the powders could be used wet or dry, and when wet, “they go on insanely intense.” Here are his three favorite shades for a “sexy, silky smoky eye”:

He also wrote that he can’t wait to create tutorials on how to use the palette, and we can’t wait to see them. Dedivanovic’s smoky eyes are the stuff makeup dreams are made of. To get your hands on the Master Palette by Mario, you’ll have to stay glued to your computer or smartphone in October since that’s when it goes on sale—and it’s likely to sell out faster than you can say “Dedivanovic.”
