Calling all Gladiators! Kerry Washington’s collab with OPI Nail Lacquer is out. We told you about this match made in Olivia Pope heaven late last year, and now the polishes are in. We’d toast a glass of red right now but we’ll wait until the evening.
The 17-shade collection debuted this week on Ulta, and are as fun and gorgeous as you’d expect. The Washington DC Lacquer (yes! that’s the name!) comes in bright, bold hues and even funner hue names: Never a Dulles Moment (yellow), CIA (a dark blue), Popular Vote (red), and our personal fave, Kerry Blossom (a burgundy).
Washington chatted with Refinery29 about the shades, the collection, and teaming up with OPI’s Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “I’ve been a fan of hers from afar for a long time, and I thought the idea was really fun,” the actress told Refinery29.
While the colors are inspired by the nation’s capital, you can rock these anywhere. And at $10 a pop, this is a celeb design collaboration we can all agree on.

“The fun, for me, is that nail lives in the crossover space between fashion and beauty,” Washington told WWD back in December. “I love to play with nail color on the red carpet and explore new shades.”
This isn’t the first collab the nail-polish brand has done. Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Serena Williams, even Coca-Cola have all worked with OPI. (Stefani’s collection really resonated with Washington. “I’m also a big fan of Gwen Stefani’s line for OPI,” she told WWD. “She has done such a great job having her collection represent her—not just with OPI, but through everything she’s done. If I can do something similar, I will be very happy.”
So if you need a pick-me-up, head to Ulta to snag a few shades. Then admire them as you hold your wine glass.
