After Kim Kardashian West lit up social media with metallic-blue swatches from her hotly anticipated KKW x Mario collab, it seems the newfound penchant for bold color runs in the fam — Kylie Cosmetics just teased a wild set of new lip colors on Instagram.
Nude mattes and muted tones have been Kylie’s lip color bread and butter. Maybe it’s new motherhood or the desire to make a big entrance after months of lying low during her pregnancy, but the makeup mogul just teased three new Kylie Lip Kit shades on Instagram that are a decided departure from the standard shades of pink, mauve, and caramel we’re used to seeing from Kylie Cosmetics.

Kylie’s latest lip kits will include a punchy coral shade, the most Barbie-esque hue of hot pink we’ve ever seen, and…olive green. “NEW Lip Kits are coming!! Get ready to welcome these new shades to the family! Right to left: SAY NO MORE Velvet, IRONIC Matte, BOSS Matte and BARE Velvet! (You guys were all asking to bring Bare velvet back!) ❤️ April 10 ,” the caption reads.
It’s clear from the comments that these are love ‘em or hate ‘em kind of shades — especially the green. Needless to say, people have very mixed feelings. An initial reaction from user courtneyxrebecca: “Wtf is this putrid green tho?” One commenter seemed to sum it up best: “The green one reminds me of diarrhea but I love it .” while another said, “The green color is called ‘Got the Runs’ .”
Maybe new motherhood really has had an impact on Kylie’s latest shade inspirations. If so, it’s kind of working for her.

Kylie Cosmetics’ colorful launch comes on the heels of Fenty Beauty’s wild success with launching more “out there” shades. The Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick ($18) collection included an inky indigo, periwinkle blue, and yes, a “wicked green.”
Does this mean the so-called “diarrhea green” is officially in the running for the hottest color of spring? It will have to dethrone yellow eye shadow first.
