Now that Jaclyn Hill finally announced who she is teaming up with for her biggest collab yet, everyone wants to see more of The Jaclyn Hill Palette she created with Morphe. Sure, we’ve seen quick peeks at the packaging, a couple shades, and the inside cover on Snapchat and Instagram, but last night, the beauty vlogger did an official unboxing of her soon-to-be-released eye shadow palette. (It will be out in March BTW.) Before you get too excited, all 35 of the intensely pigmented, blendable hues haven’t been revealed just yet. Don’t believe the cake that’s been floating around the beauty side of Instagram. Let’s be real, fondant can only so much. And from the looks of the palette via smartphone, a couple of the shadows will be supermetallic. Also, the palette seems to be like Morphe took Hill’s signature white-and-silver aesthetic that you always see in her videos and put it into palette form.
Before you see more of The Jaclyn Hill Palette, we just wanted to take a moment to appreciate this gorgeous look Hill created with its shades.
Ok, back to the Snapchat unboxing. It started off with a look at the actual box that The Jaclyn Hill Palette will come in, which looks just like the front of the palette inside. However, on the back, there’s a sweet note from Hill, as well as some pictures of her showing how to use the shadows inside.
Because you can’t zoom on Snapchat, we deciphered what the note says for you: “Creating this palette has truly been a dream come true for me. Morphe gave me full creative control and allowed me to customize my dream palette for everyone to enjoy! Every shade was customized by me and I really hope you guys love it as much as I do! I wanted a range of neutrals and pop of colors & skin tones. I put my heart and soul into this palette and hope my pickiness pays off! XO Jaclyn”
The back of the palette looks a bit different from the box. In the place of the note is an all-over print of Hill’s initials and Morphe x Jaclyn Hill in caps. When Hill flipped over the palette, she speedily open and closed the palette, and you could definitely see a bit of the bottom row in the process. We peeped some teal and green shades.
As mentioned, some of the shades are incredibly metallic. Hill showed one darkened bronze shade in particular, as well as swatches of a copper and a crimson. The texture and foil finish remind us of the shimmery shades in the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette: Rose Gold Edition.
And that’s all we got to see of The Jaclyn Hill Palette—for now, at least.
