Starting this week, Sephora is going to give you a new reason to look forward to Thursdays. Every week, the beauty store will be offering major sales, free products, and exclusive offers available for one week only. Today, August 10, marks the beginning of the first Sephora Weekly Wow Sale, and select palettes are 50 percent — yes 5-0 — off. Deep breaths, everyone.
Sephora announced the five palettes that are marked down for the week on its Instagram story yesterday, and the sales went up first thing today. We’re not sure if that announcement process will happen every week, but fingers crossed it will. The sneak peek is sure to help you plan your purchases.
As for each palette that is available during the inaugural Sephora Weekly Wow Sale, let me break them down for you.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (was $40, now $20)
This six-shade kit comes with three powdered contouring shades and three highlighting ones. Depending on your skin tone, you can choose the range that’s right for you. There are three options to choose from. (Hallelujah for contouring palettes that aren’t one-shade-range-fits-all, right?)
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette Volume II (was $42, now $21)
I’ve been living for this highlighting palette since it dropped late last year. In the pan the four illuminating shades may look like they’d be on the glittery side. However, the shimmer is so finely milled that they sweep on seamlessly. I put them over a cream or liquid highlighter for maximum glow. Plus, they are fun to mix together for a custom shade that’s all your own.
Stila Matte ‘n Metal Eyeshadow Palette (was $49.00, now $24.50)
Instead of jumbling up matte and metallic eye shadows in a palette, Stila made one that’s easy to navigate. Six mattes take up the top two rows with pink, cream, and terracotta shades. The bottom two rows are made up of rose gold-, bronze-, and pewter-toned metallics. Use the mattes as a base, then blend a metallic or two onto the outer and inner corners of your eyes for a gorgeous halo-style look.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit (was $40, now $20)
Fancy yourself more of a cream contour person? Try this palette instead. It’s an especially awesome choice for deeper skin tones because the Deep option isn’t just another set of beiges. The creams are particularly thick, so be sure to use less than you would usually use. Then blend them out with a damp Beautyblender.
Stila Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palette (was $49.00, now $24.50)
The best part of this deal is the Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palette comes in three different color combos, so Sephora basically doubles the sale selection. Spirit is my longtime personal fave — I was using its red and orange shadows years before the trend took over everyone’s lids. The shimmery shades are just soft enough and easy to blend. If you’re more of a nude eyeshadow person, then check out Soul.
