Looking for a new highlighter to add to your makeup bag? Look no further than your local drugstore. While picking up toilet paper and other household supplies, you might want to throw into your basket a certain glow-inducing stick that’s going viral on Instagram. A 16-year-old aspiring makeup artist named Ashley Rivera recently suggested Wet n Wild’s MegaGlo Highlight Stick for glowing on a budget, and her post is quickly racking up the likes and comments.
The highlighter usually rings up for about $3, depending on where you shop it. “I wear different highlights at times but I was using this yesterday and I WAS GLOWING LIKE IM THE SUN’S DAUGHTER ” Rivera explained in the caption. OK, I’m sold. Price aside, Rivera had me at that hilariously accurate description.
The MegaGlo Highlight Stick is basically the cream version of the beloved MegaGlo Highlighter. The intensely pigmented powder is known for giving cheeks a blinding radiance for less than $5. As someone who uses cream and powder highlighters interchangeably (and often together), I have to say that the stick is much easier to use. If you’re just getting to highlighter, let the MegaGlo Highlight Stick be your gateway product before building up to powder. Why? You don’t need a brush to blend it and you can’t overdo cream the way you can powder highlighter. Cream melts into skin a lot better while powder has a tendency to sit on top of the skin and look cakey when used in excess. All you have to do is swipe the stick onto the high points of your face and tap it into your skin. You’ll be left with a dewy glow that resembles the offspring of the star at the center of our solar system. Rivera noted in the comments that she likes to apply it with a Beautyblender to help it last all day.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: Wet n Wild is not to be slept on. The MegaGlo Highlight Stick is about to be added to my running list of favorites from the brand. At the moment, I’m all about the blush version. The MegaGlo Blush Stick in Peach Bums converted me to the wonders of cream blush. I’m also partial to Wet n Wild’s MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick. (You can read my review of it here.)
OK, I’m done gushing about Wet n Wild. You can shop its MegaGlo Highlight Stick now for $3.99 on ulta.com.
