What do Silly Putty, Nickelodeon’s Gak, and Flubber all have in common? Uh, other than being the flagships of rip-roarin’ fun in the ’90s (kids these days don’t even KNOW), it’s their supersquishy, wiggly, jiggly texture. Today, a new set of eye shadows from Butter London floated across my desk that transported me back to my Limited Too years. All because they look/feel like this:
Whaa?! Yep—say hello to Butter London’s Glazen Eye Gloss. It looks like shimmery pudding, but the formula is incredibly smooth and insanely pigmented. It feels like a gel-cream hybrid on your skin, which makes it really easy to blend out to a subtle wash of sparkly color or layer up for an opaque, megaglam look, as you can see below on our very awesome assistant digital editor Maddie Aberman (wearing the shade Bronzed).
But the most surprising fact is that these shadows really don’t budge once you apply them. They stay slightly blendable, like any cream shadow, but unlike most slick, wet-look formulas, they don’t crease. No, seriously. Maddie, whose lids can crease even the most creaseproof shadow, had zero creasing, flaking, or smudging by the end of the day. Sadly, these pudding pots aren’t out until August, so I guess you’ll have to just rewatch that GIF over and over again until you can get your hands on them. Which is almost as good, right?
