As a woman with parents living on two different continents, I know first-hand how difficult traveling can be — especially when it comes to beauty (long-haul flights may be great for catching up on those Z’s, but that dry, recycled airplane air is a serious complexion killer). Fortunately, natural brand Drunk Elephant understands the struggle: The cult-fave company just launched a travel-sized version of its best-selling T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, making it way easier for frequent fliers to maintain their glow while cruising at 33,000 feet.
Like its full-sized predecessor, the travel-friendly T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is part moisturizing mask, part resurfacing peel. Like a peel, the creamy formula contains a high percentage of exfoliating acids (25 percent AHAs and 2 percent BHAs) to slough off dead skin cells and promote a brighter, more even-toned complexion.
However, since peels can be pretty harsh — especially for those with sensitive skin — Drunk Elephant also added a dose of skin-soothing, antioxidant-rich ingredients to the mix, including matcha tea and apple. After letting it sit for 20 minutes, your skin is brighter, glow-ier, and smoother — but sans any of the redness or irritation that often follows a traditional peel.
Though I’m most excited to use the miniature (0.5. ounces) T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial during those painfully long transatlantic flights, the pint-sized product is also great for those on a budget: It costs just $25 to the full-sized version’s $80. Unfortunately, it’s not yet clear if Drunk Elephant will continue making the Babyfacial in both mini and full-sized versions — the brand wrote on Instagram that quantities of the pint-sized peel are “seriously limited.”
So, with that being said, for the time being, you can stock up on the little guy at sephora.com — just don’t be surprised if it sells out faster than you can say “glow.”
