One look inside my medicine cabinet and you’ll see that my face mask obsession is real. (All thanks to beauty influencers and models posting photos in 24-karat gold masks with a snazzy KiraKira filter slapped on, no less.) Nowadays, it seems masks are more than just the ingredients they’re made of, but rather how “Instagrammable” they are, too. With that in mind, say hello to I Dew Care’s Sugar Kitten Hydrating Holographic Peel-Off Mask. It’s about to literally outshine all the other content on your IG feed.
The shimmery, peel-off mask is infused with real ruby and pearl powders to illuminate, rose water to soothe, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump up skin. But my favorite part? Its iridescent emerald color (I told you it was pretty!), which gradually transforms into a holographic baby pink hue upon application. It’s almost like those color-changing sippy cups I used as a kid. Ah, the nostalgia.
Back to the mask: As soon as I opened the mesmerizing concoction, I fell in love. I immediately grabbed my phone and started snapping for the feed. Not to mention the mask came with a unicorn headband, so obviously, I needed to document the experience. Texture-wise, the mask is bouncy and thick, so I used a silicone mask brush to apply it to my forehead, cheeks, and nose. (Pro tip: I found using a foundation flat brush helped the goo go on evenly, which helped speed up the drying time.)
After application, I waited about 20 minutes to let the sparkly concoction work its magic on my combination skin. Let me tell you, this holographic mask is way more than #InstaBait. I was a real-life sparkling jewel. (You know, holographic, but make it fashion.) I watched the iridescent mask harden and become picture- or, in my case, Boomerang-perfect.
Once the glittery mask started to set, I started to slowly peel it off — and watched the magic happen. It’s like I could hear my pores screaming, “OMG, thank you!” as I slowly ripped away the treatment from my nose. After it was all off, I immediately noticed brighter skin. Plus, I smelled like roses. (Who doesn’t love roses?) Basically, I was beyond happy with the results that I ended up doing the mask again… the next morning. Is that allowed?!
